Donny Osmond's parents were George Virl Osmond Sr. and Olive May Osmond. They were both born and raised in Utah and were devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had nine children, with Donny being the seventh child and the fifth son. George was the father and manager of the Osmond Brothers, a popular singing group in the 1960s and 70s, and Olive was a homemaker who also supported her husband and children in their musical careers. Both of Donny's parents passed away within a year of each other in 2007 and 2008.
